Had the opportunity to Art Direct & collaborate with Nick Davis in a Music Video project for his single “Lost In TIme” along side with the remarkable instructor and choreographer Maybeline Wong. Schedule was tight and we had the entire shot taken within 5 hours, and edited later on experimentally by MW.
The drive behind the MV was simple, Messages being delivered through Symmetrical Aesthetics, similar to the inkblot test aka ‘The Rorschach Test’, interpretation of “ambiguous designs” to assess an individual’s personality which was a widely used projective tests during the 1960′s, an idea that goes back to Leonardo Da Vinci and Botticelli. Some psychologists use this tests to examine a person’s personality characteristics and emotional functioning. And true enough, we receive tonnes of different responses after we launched the Music Video. Some say it was badly executed, some actually tried to understand what was going on,and a handful of people actually enjoyed the video as an Art piece and a few actually understood the story.
We hope you will enjoy the video as much as we do,this collaboration is our version of
Music x Art.
They are meant for each other.
